Urbanerds Grants Fund is taking submissions for direct actions - ie. events or activities that are used to promote new ideas/activities and encourage inclusion in the urbanist conversation in Wellington.
The specifics:
- funding is for up to $1000 per event or activity, with preference given to events with matched funding.
- less preference given to existing programmes (ie. this is not to assist with ongoing expenses of community organisations)
- focussed on dedicated events or discreet campaigns.
- inclusive (ie. attract not just existing urbanists/activists), and include a facebook page/budget for marketing
- things that encourage a new vision for how Wellington and its urban form can be experienced.
This could be a bike rave, a family barbeque, funding a judicial review of WCC's compliance with the NPS-UD, a 'My dream for Wellington' chalkboard, a rerun of Captain Cook Thinks Again for high school students or anything you can dream up!
